Get your home winter ready

Can you believe it’s only 4 weeks till Christmas? No neither can we. Temperatures are dropping, daylight hours shortening, and the frost is slowly creeping in - it’s safe to say winter is officially upon us.

It may only be the beginning of November, but it feels like the build-up to the most wonderful time of the year is in full swing. Supermarket shelves are now lined with all things festive, from advent calendars to decorations and this year’s must have gifts, oh and not forgetting all the mince pies that have vastly descended onto the end of every aisle.

Everywhere we look it’s a reminder that the festive season is fast approaching and I’m sure we’re not the only ones who are hoping for a glimpse of ‘normality’ this Christmas. With the whole country under restrictions last year, it meant the usual festive fun had to be put on hold. Not being able to see our nearest and dearest in person was indeed tough, however, this year we hope to celebrate and enjoy those magical moments we’ve all longed for.

Here are some of our Must haves’ for getting your home winter ready:

Why is a dust free radiator so beneficial? – Well not only is dust build-up a health hazard it is also a big fire risk, additionally with energy prices on the increase, a dust free radiator can be key to saving money on your heating bill!

  1. Saying good-bye to those summer clothes and hello to your winter wardrobe?
We all know Winter clothes take up a lot of room, especially those extremely warm yet bulky jumpers and coats, so why not upgrade your wardrobe with Space Makers.

Space makers keep your clothes neat, wrinkle-free and guarantee to triple your wardrobe space…who doesn’t need that in their life? Oh, and it’s also a great excuse for some new clothes this Christmas!

  1. Everyone knows that the secret to making the ultimate Christmas dinner starts with having a sparkling kitchen. The pandemic meant we all had to spend more time at home, so whether you’re a professional chef or an amateur in the kitchen, the increased amount of cooking has no doubt had an impact on your surfaces. This is where our one-of-a-kind Nanna’s Secret really shines; a tough natural cleaning clay that not only cleans, but polishes and protects too, leaving your kitchen spotless and ready to host the whole family.

  1. Finally, one last tip to preparing your home for Winter is to ensure all windows are sealed properly. There’s nothing worse than being all cozied up on the sofa and feeling a chilly draught coming from your windows. Simple Seal is an airtight, waterproof and long-lasting solution to keeping the cold out this winter.

Simple Seal can have multiple uses but when it comes to blocking out unwanted draughts it’s ideal. In addition to be being a great draught excluder, Simple Seal also prevents condensation build up and consequently saves you money on your heating bill, meaning no need to turn the heating on full blast to warm the house up, with properly sealed windows your house will keep the warmth in, and the cold out.

We hope our winter preparation tips help get your home ready to celebrate this festive season.
